Care for a Mai Tai?

Happy Thursday lovelies!

Who's thirsty?

This week, I'm dreaming of all things tropical so what better drink to share than a Mai Tai.

It's sweet, fruity, and has a cute little parasol umbrella.

Ingredients:
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1/2 oz Dark Rum
1 oz Light Rum
1/2 oz Creme de Almond
Pineapple Juice
Sweet and Sour Mix

Directions:
Pour light rum, creme de almond and triple sec, in order, into a collins glass. Almost fill with equal parts of sweet and sour mix and pineapple juice. Add dark rum and a large straw.  Serve and enjoy!

Have you ever had a MAI TAI?
Feel free to share your favorite drinks with me!

Cheers! xo

That drink, AND the background in which it was taken, are making me dream of a nice tropical place to be right now.
Those thoughts just might help me make it through the day :) Thanks :)

I had a Mai Tai when I was in Hawaii. It was my first drink of the trip! :) I actually didn't really like it. I'm not a dark rum fan, and that flavor was too strong. My go-to fruity drink is a Malibu Madras, coconut rum, orange juice, and cranberry juice. Yum!

I think drinking a Mai Tai in Hawaii is a must. When I went to Hawaii for work one day, my friend and I befriended the bartender at our hotel and he made me his "special" guava mai tai. It was delicious but so dangerous.
