Yes, I'm still obsessing over the Royal Wedding! It's only been a few days since Prince William and Kate Middleton became husband and wife, but there's already a replica of Kate's stunning Alexander McQueen wedding dress being made! A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz, a label known for whipping up less-expensive versions of favorite red carpet dresses in record time, created a lookalike of the famous dress less than 12 hours after the wedding. The dress is scheduled to arrive in Lord & Taylor stores this July and will retail for $800.
After reading a few articles online, it is rumored that Kate's wedding dress cost $65,000, nearly half the cost of Princess Diana's $115,000 wedding dress.

In my opinion, I would like my own wedding dress, not something replicated. I think that more people would buy this dress just to say that they own a replica of Kate's dress. I thought that Kate looked absolutely stunning and that it would be hard to even try to match how perfect she looked.
What do you think of the A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz? Do you feel it looks similar to Kate's Alexander McQueen dress? Would you consider wearing a replica of Kate Middleton's dress at your wedding?

I'll be back later for Tail-Wagging Tuesday and a 30-day Celebrity Photo Challenge!
Hope everyone is having a great day! xo

I think a wedding dress reflects who you are and YOUR personality. Although it's beautiful dress, I wouldn't want to wear it to my wedding!
what the heck...how on earth did that happen so fast?! i'm super impressed!
I loved her dress! it's not for me but definitely suited her and the replica is sooooo similar!
I agree with the others: I loved her dress--it was perfect for a royal wedding where you can't show too much skin, and elegant! I don't think it's my type of dress, plus, I would want my own, not a dress simply because a celeb/royal wore it!
It seems awfully cheesy to buy a wedding dress imitating someone else, doesn't it? I knew there would be copies but I sure don't understand it. Oscar dresses, sure, but wedding gowns?
GORGEOUS!! Though I don't think any dress could be as beautiful as hers. I want a wedding dress that's just for ME! and not one that has other people wearing it!
I think the replica looks pretty damn good though!
Ugh I need to get engaged so I can go look at wedding dresses lol
xoxox
I completely agree! she looked absolutely stunning, but when someone looks that great in a dress.. you should just leave it to them! I would want to have my own beautiful look!
I think both dresses are beautiful, but I wouldn't want to wear a dress that looked like a dress that someone famous. Note I didn't say I wouldn't wear a dress that someone else wore, because that would be impossible unless you get a custom made dress. But I wouldn't want to buy Kate's replica dress, even though it is gorgeous!
agree with you 100%! while kates dress was stunning and she looked gorgeous in it, i would never want a replica. it just isn't tasteful in my opinion. :-)
I think a wedding dress is suppose to reflect who you are and it also sets the tone for the wedding, you would not wear a BIG dress for beach wedding, I personally would NOT buy a replica for my wedding. I loved my dress and still love it almost 4 years later! :)
I loved her dress! and the replica looks so similar! that's the best one ive seen yet. Being Catholic, and having to have a dress that is more conservative, I really like the you can get a dress like hers or even just get dresses along the same line as hers. but, it is not for everyone!
That's one thing you HAVE to try on - the shape, the feel, the fabric... it looks great though!

I think they did a great job making a replica. However, I want my dress to reflect me and her dress did not. I have an idea of what I want mine to look like and hopefully it will be a "Joy" original. http://joy-southernsocialite.blogspot.com/
the replica looks pretty good!! i loved the grace kelly version too, so if you like the vintage feel, and you like the why you look in it, then i say go for it!
Boy did I love Kate's dress, but I couldn't agree more with wanting to have your own special one. Plus, I would NEVER look as good as Kate did.
i would want my own dress but it sure is pretty!

The replica looks really good! I thought her dress was really gorgeous... on her. It definitely wouldn't work on me so I'd never have any interest in getting a replica plus like you, I'd want to pick out my own style :) Happy Tuesday pretty girl!

I think the replica is gorgeous, but I would never wear a gown that is someone else's. That was Kate's gown, she rocked it too!! :)
I think that that dress is totally KATE and gorgeous, but totally not me. Everyone should wear a dress that suits them!
Love the dress on her, it was perfect for the occasion. However, not what I would pick considering I'm not royalty! hahaha. But she looked amazing.
I completely agree with you! David Tutera also makes a lot of wedding gowns modeled after celebrity fashions and I'm not a fan.
This dress is absolutely stunning! I love it! However, I want my own. I don't like copy cats! :) haha!
Although she was stunning and the dress was beautiful:
1. I would want my own dress.
2. No one would ever look half ask good in it!
3. $65,000 is still RIDICULOUS for a dress.
I totally agree - I wouldn't want a replica. And I think Kate's dress was perfect becasue there was the time and money and nice fabric put into it, nothing a replica could ever do the same.
