Tastes & Travels: Italy

Hello lovelies! Lyndsay, Michelle, and I are really excited to be continuing our journey around the world today with the second installment of our new blog series, Tastes & Travels. (If you missed the introduction, click here; if you missed last week's recipes, click here.)
We're very excited about this adventure and happy to have you come along with us!
Our first stop is Italy!

AJ and Katy said...: My fiance is stationed in Italy, so, it's pretty awesome that I get to visit there as well as seeing him whenever I finally get to go over. So far, I've been twice. We went to Florence, Rimini Beach, Verona, Venice and of course, Vicenza, where he is stationed! I love, love, love Italy, it's absolutely gorgeous and I hope to one day be able to go to the southern part because I really want to see Sicily! I have been to Italy a few times on class trips growing up, etc. I studied Latin, so early on in high school, we used to take trips to Rome, Venice, etc. But once I got to my Jr. and Sr. years, I quit going because it was always the same thing. I have never gone much into the Amalfi coast, which is something I totally desire to do...or Sicily! I'll take either!

When I read Eat Pray Love, she talked about this pizza place in Naples that I have been dying to try ever since because the way she describes it sounds amazing...so that will be one of my stops when I head to Italy. I need to go there...I'm Italian! So it's only fitting, right!?

Mizdragonfly said...: My honeymoon was in Italy :) Naples, Pompeii, Rome, Pisa, Florence, Bologna, Venice, Verona and Milan - plus all the little villages we drove through during those three weeks!
