Chicago: Navy Pier, John Hancock Building

Hello loves!  Yesterday,  I shared some of my favorite scenic pictures from my trip. {If you missed it, you can click here.}  I'm so excited to recap and share pictures more of my trip to Chicago with you today!

{Thursday, August 25, 2011}

We had to give credit to the man who helped make this trip all possible!

Hotel #1:  The Red Roof Inn in Downtown Chicago

The Navy Pier was gorgeous and was probably my favorite place in Chicago!  I loved just walking by the water (Lake Michigan) and looking back at all of the buildings.  There are a bunch of restaurants, stores, and things to do -- one of my faves was riding the Seadog {more on that in a future post :)}.  (You can check out the Navy Pier's website here.)

Lunch at Harry Caray's Restaurant
{mid-left: turkey burger with brie cheese, cranberry relish, and roasted jalapeño aioli on a brioche bun and vinegar slaw; bottom-right: crab cake sandwich with caper rémoulade and french fries}

Smith Museum of Stained Glass Windows

This picture was taken in the mirror outside the Chicago Funhouse Maze.

We had drinks and appetizers at the Signature Lounge on the 96th floor!  We overlooked the whole city. I have to say that the best view was from the ladies bathroom!
CHICAGO MARTINI -- bacardi "O" rum, raspberry liqueur, and pineapple juice

STAY TUNED for lots more to come!

Have you ever been to Chicago?  Did you visit the Navy Pier and John Hancock Building?

Happy Tuesday! xo

Of course I'm gonna have to comment on every Chicago post because it's just that fabulous of a city!

I freakin LOVED the navy pier! (although that could've had something to do with all the magaritas we were drinking... haha)

I was so disappointed when we went to the Navy Pier, it was completely empty and lots of things were closed.
We loved the John Hancock building though!! It's nice that it's free if you go up and have a drink :)
