My Obsession EXPLAINED

Hello lovelies!  Y'all are in for a treat today as I have a special guest blogger here in my place.  I often receive e-mails asking me about Jason Aldean, whether it be when I first heard his music, what attracted me to him [besides his good looks ;) ] or how I became a crazy stalker dedicated fan.   I know that you always hear me talk about him so I thought it would be nice to have someone else who knows and loves me and Jason share all the details with you.  Without further ado,  my special guest blogger ... my partner-in-crime, my best friend, my mom ...

Hi!  My name is Lori.  I am Michelle’s mom.  It is such a pleasure to be here on her blog sharing our passion for Jason with you.  I can remember the first time hearing Jason on GAC back in 2007 singing Amarillo Sky.  I knew I was hooked from that day on with his voice and his presence on stage. Every time I would see a video of his on T.V. I would yell for her to come check him out.  Needless to say, she was also HOOKED and so our story with Jason began.

We began traveling to any show we could get to.  In September 2009,  we traveled to our first concert in New Jersey for Thunderfest and waited in the rain and mud on the baseball field for 7 hours to see him.  What an experience!  But, let me say it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!  Along with meeting fellow Jason fans as the time passed. 

We continued to travel to Jason concerts as we headed to Pennsylvania in September 2010 and New York City in November 2010.  Then in the spring, we decided to take a road trip traveling almost four hours to Massachusetts.  We were on a mission to see JASON ALDEAN as we painted Michelle's car.  What a great time! 

No sooner than when we arrived home were we booking our next trip to New Jersey in June.  Who would have thought that just watching him on T.V. would leave to a meet and greet for her in N.J.  The excitement when she found out is something I can't describe.  I wanted to us to meet him together but at the same time, I was so happy for her. (I got to meet him the following week in Nashville at CMA Fest.)  Seeing her after she met him was another priceless moment as she returned to her seat with tears in eyes and so happy.  I could see how much it meant to her and I was so overjoyed for her.

Then came August and a flight nearly half way across the country to Chicago to see him once again.  And finally, an opportunity for both of us to meet him again!  The chance to meet him along with the front rows seats I surprised her with for her birthday made for an even more incredible experience.  I couldn't have asked for anything better!  It was truly amazing!

The bond we share for him can’t be described and we are obsessed.  Not to mention,  when I got Jason's tattoo of his trademark symbol on my arm, not soon after Michelle wanted it too.  A few months ago,  Michelle got her tattoo done so we will forever be Jason fans and connected. 

Just to say my daughter is not only my daughter... she is my best friend and now we are Jason fanatics together! It’s funny how Jason has become part of our daily routine.  He is always playing in the car and Michelle loves to call me after work singing his songs and I get a kick out of it and put her on speakerphone for the whole office to hear.   We are always texting each other when Jason has something new going on with his website and have to let each other know.

After traveling to 5 states so far, I am looking forward to Jason’s 2012 tour to see where it takes us. I know we definitely want to get to Georgia at some point to see him and I hope it will be possible.  I look forward to the upcoming year with her.  She is such a great daughter and person.  I could not of asked for anything more. We are forever Jason fans!  Maybe we'll see you along our travels!
