My Beachy Bedroom~

Hello loves!  Hope everyone had a great weekend! 

A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog post about my love of design, especially rooms with a beach theme (if you missed it, click here). I finally snapped some pictures of my beach-themed bedroom and I'm very excited to be sharing them with all of you!  Just a little warning ... I have lots of stuff!  HAHA -- seriously, I do! Y'all will see!

Yeah, I'm a Country Girl~

Hello lovelies! Last night, I was very lucky to see Chris Young, Luke Bryan, and Rascal Flatts in concert.  They were all amazing and such awesome performers!  We had great seats too ... row 10!  The concert was so much fun and it was nice to have some quality time with my momma :)

Don't you love the fashion of the 80's?  Oversized jackets, the hats, the floral and lace!  Oh, and how about the hairstyles?!

One of my favorite movie couples of all-time is... Andie & Blane!

My favorite part of the whole movie is the final scene.  I love when Duckie and Andie walk into the prom and see Blane.  Blane says, "You said you couldn't be with someone who didn't believe in you. Well I believed in you. I just didn't believe in me." Then he whispers into Andie's ear, "I love you ... always". Blane walks away Duckie tells Andie to go be with him.   She does and the movie ends with Blane and Andie kissing .... ahhh, love it!

My Glorious Day~

Hi y'all.  As you all know I'm on vacation this week from school and I've been enjoying every minute of it!  Even though I'm on vacation, today was my first real day ... FULLY OFF.  I don't know if I ever mentioned before that in addition to being a teacher, I work part-time in an office too.  So the last few days, I spent some time in the office.  Today I didn't have to work anywhere, I didn't have to do anything, I could have ran around the house all day naked if I wanted to -- haha, well we won't go that far, but anyway, I thought I would recap my wonderful day with all of you.  

~ This morning, I woke up and did some blogging!! :)

~ Then, my bestie and I went to get our nails done.

my gel manicure -- lasts at least two weeks without chipping!

~ After our nails, we went to lunch.  I had a grilled chicken wrap with mozzarella and roasted red peppers.  It was delicious.  I'm so mad I didn't take a picture of it! 

~ We also did some shopping.  I noticed this new puppy store, which made me entirely too sad.

I was really so upset to see the puppies displayed this way.  My friend literally had to drag me away because I started to tear up.  She said to me that she knew I would be the one to let them all loose and take them all away if I could.  Seriously, I would! :(

~ I came home and read some more of Something Borrowed.  Seriously love it!

~ After reading a few chapters, I snuggled up with my pup and took a nap.

~ Now I'm going to read a little more, do a little blogging, and have some dinner with my momma.

I'm Lovin' It!

Hello loves! It's Wednesday, which means time to link up with Jamie! 

- I'm loving that a few of my favorite movies were on television this week.  One of which was Father of the Bride, a classic.  If you haven't seen it, you should.  

My favorite character is Franck Eggelhoffer (played by Martin Short).  He's the wedding planner and a riot! So funny!

- I'm loving that I'm on vacation from work this week!

- I'm loving that I started reading the book, Something Borrowed (and love it!).

It is by far one of the most exhilarating places that I've ever been to!  Everything is gorgeous and over the top!  LOVE THE STRIP and all of the hotels!  There is so much fun to be had in Las Vegas aka Sin City.   Such a great energy there! Remember: what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas ;)

1. Who/What inspires you?

I think Jen put it best in saying that a lot of things and people inspire her for different reasons.  I completely agree.  Part of what inspires me comes from what I want out of life.  There are things such as having a successful career and being a great wife and mom one day that encourage me to go after what I want because I feel it's possible.  My family and friends inspire me everyday and my students are also a big inspiration to me.  Kids are the future and I try to be the best teacher I can be to give the best learning experience possible.

2. What is your favorite season & why?

I love fall.  I love the weather.  It's not too hold, not too cold and I love seeing the leaves change color.  I also love starting a new school year and meeting my new students.  {Sorry Jen, pretty much matched your response again :) }

3.  What are you most forward to this year?

I can't wait for summer and warmer weather!

4.  If you could write a book about anything, what would it be about?

I would love to write a children's book.  It is actually on my lifetime bucket list!

5.  What is your greatest passion?

My greatest passion would be teaching.  I love being a teacher more than anything.  I always say if happiness paid the bills that I would work for free! My students mean the world to me and have my heart.  It is such a great gift working with children with special needs and seeing how hard they try to do their very best.  It is also very rewarding to see what a difference you make in their lives.

6.  If you could change on thing about your life or yourself, what would it be.

I wouldn't change anything.  Everything happens for a reason and I believe that this is where I am meant to be in my life.

7.  Lastly, what is your favorite novel?

I'm a big fan of Nicholas Sparks.  A few of my favorites are The Notebook, The Wedding, and Dear John.

Something Borrowed~

I recently saw the trailer for the upcoming movie, Something Borrowed.  It stars Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin, John Krasinski, and Colin Egglesfield (a total cutie!).  Seriously, A GREAT CAST! The movie looks so good!

Now, here's my question for all of you ...

Has anyone read the book?  I've wanted to read this book and a few others by Emily Giffin for a long time now and I just really haven't gotten around to reading much of anything.  I really would like to read this book before the movie comes out in May.  Any thoughts?

The 80's and 90's are two of my favorite decades!  As an 80's baby and a kid in the 90's, I grew up loving so many shows, movies, games, and toys.  So this link up is right up my alley and I can't wait to link up and read everyone else's posts too!! :)
