Dear Future Husband-

Hello lovelies!  With 2012 upon us,  I've been doing a lot of thinking about what I'm hoping for in the new year.   I'm very fortunate to have a great family, a sweet dog, wonderful friends {all of you included!},  a job that I love, the ability to travel and visit new places,  but I can't help but feel like something (or someone) is missing.

In January, it will be 3 years since I officially ended my 8 year relationship with my ex.  I was so young when we started dating (I was 17) that when it ended I was 25 and really had never fully experienced dating as an adult.  I began casual dating and over the course of the last few years,  I have dated a lot.  I have had a few short term relationships but nothing I saw heading in the direction of long term.  It is definitely not something I'm happy about but I find myself walking away from a lot of guys when I don't see it going anywhere.  I don't consider myself picky but I'm just not going to settle for anything less that what I feel like I deserve.  No one should!

Anyways,  I'm hoping that in 2012 . . . I find the man I've been looking for.  

So . . .

Dear Future Husband,

I love my job  . . . so don't worry, you don't have to work a few jobs so I can stay at home.  

I love to clean . . . so the house will always be neat and tidy.

I love to cook and bake . . . so you will always be well fed and taken care of.

I love kids . . . and look forward to a family of our own.

Oh, and your help will always be greatly appreciated with aforementioned items!

And of course,  I have to mention how lucky you would be to have a wife that does all of the above but who is also pretty, funny, sweet, fun, and enjoys sports too! ;)

2011 Recap: In the Kitchen

Hello lovelies!  One of my goals for 2011 was to be in the kitchen more!  I wanted to continue to bake and cook new things!  I think it's safe to say that I met that goal {see below} and am looking forward to whipping up more new things in 2012!
