Christian Grey aka Fifty Shades

Hello loves!  Last week, I blogged about the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy and said that I would be back soon with a review so here I am! Except, I'm not going to review the books.  I thought about it and I have many reasons why I don't want to review the books -- like I don't want to slip and say too much and I really want whoever is interested in reading to read and form their own opinion.

 So all I will say is that I think the trilogy was AMAZING and the best trilogy I've ever read{IMO}! I'm seriously obsessed with them and am IN LOVE with Christian Grey. They were very well-written and the storyline was so detailed and developed that I just couldn't put the books down.  I mean I read all 3 in 3 days!  Basically, I was reading at every possible free second and didn't really sleep since the trilogy was over 1500 pages!  And yes, I will say that they were intense and probably not what most expect but once you get over all the shock,  I'm pretty confident in saying that you will love them!

This trilogy has been also all over the media the last few weeks!  A movie may be in the works as production rights were just purchased!  I don't know how they will be able to do it but I curious to see what may come of it!

Now if you've read the books, who do you picture for the role of Christian Grey?

Of the above mentioned,  the first one I was drawn to when I saw the article was immediately ... CHRIS PINE!  {I know you're probably surprised that I didn't choose Ryan Gosling.}  But in my own eyes,  I picture Colin Egglesfield aka Dex from Something Borrowed.

{It's all about the EYES!  He is GORGEOUS!}

As far as the role of Anastasia Steele -- I just love their names-- I'm really not sure!  Maybe Ashley Greene?  Any ideas?

My sister has a EW subscription and I can't wait to snag this upcoming issue from her!
Check out the cover...

And Michelle,  since we've been chatting about the books ... this is for you!

Have you read the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy?  What did you think?

{I'm linking up with Heather at Blonde .. Undercover Blonde for Book Club Friday!  If you've read any books and have reviewed them on your blog, feel free to join!  I always look forward to adding new books to my reading list!}

Happy Reading! xo

I totally AGREE 1,000% with your choices! Ashley Greene would be perfect for Ana and YES to Colin Egglesfield for Fifty! LOVE! Seriously though...how is this going to be a movie?!?! They would have to give it a NC17 rating!

OMGosh! I am 28% into the first book (Kindle fire gives percentages instead of page #s). I feel so embarrassed reading it, but I can't put it down. LOVE!

After seeing it here and a few other times, I finally looked at some synopsis/reviews. WOW! People really seem to either love or hate this one! I'm a little scared to check it out!

I haven't read it, but I've heard great things about it. Just what I've heard, Henry Cavill would be awesome. He's got that dark, brooding thing that's SO hot. I loved him on The Tudors!!

I haven't read these books yet. I finished the Hunger Games about a month ago then I picked up The Lucky One. But I might just have to pick these up :)

Colin Egglesfield is gorgeous, and a great pick for ANY movie lol. I'll be picturing him when I start reading the series now!

Hope you're doing well, sweet friend!

It's so funny - I follow the bookworld very closely. I have so many books marked down to read that don't even come out this year! Yet I hadn't heard about these until like 2 days ago. I have to see what the hype is about :)

Omg i loved the book fifty shades of grey and i am now currently reading fifty shades darker and so far it's amazing!! I think Ian Somerhalder would be perfect for the role of Christian grey (who i'm totally obsessed with!) and i think Elizabeth Olsen should definitely play Ana!!

The erotic stuff apart, the actual love story is great. But obviously, it is Christian who is the charm. His character development is good, the way he is written as this closed-off guy, who has had experiences past his age and the way he develops into a lover and opens up and lets himself be healed is good. It feels nice that a regular girl does that to a powerful, charismatic guy. But then, isnt that what love is all about?
Christian Grey is too good to be true, but hey, this is fiction and we are all allowed a few guilty pleasures, so dream on,ladies!

Haven't watched Somerhalder act, but he is as close as it gets to the way Christian is described in the books.

I think she should be a control freak about the movie. The two main characters have to have chemistry out the ying yang.
