DIY Projects

Hello lovelies! With summer approaching and some time off, I like to stay busy with projects.

Here are a bunch of DIY projects that I would love to get creative and create . . .
{Subway Art}

{Frame with Instagram prints}

{Travel shadow boxes}

{Travel scrapbook}

{Instagram photo strips}

{Photo organization}

{Ticket jar}

{Shadow box with tickets enclosed}

{Love this idea! Take something you really love, a letter, envelope, photograph, a ticket stub... anything - and take it to a printing place like Kinkos and have them blow it up for you to hang as art.}

Have you recently created any DIY projects or are planning to?  Please share :)

Georgia!

Hello lovelies!  I'm back from an amazing weekend in Georgia!  I have lots of great pictures that I'd like to share and will do so soon!  Until then, here are some pictures that I shared on instagram!
{If you follow me, then you've already seen them :)}

We had such an awesome time seeing Jason and traveling to his hometown!  I was also so happy to have the opportunity to meet Sarah!  She was so sweet and such a wonderful tour guide!  I'm so glad we got to spend time together! :) {More on our meeting soon :)}

Oh, and Ludacris also made a surprise appearance and rapped with Jason on "Dirt Road Anthem"!  It was complete AWESOMENESS!  Kelly Clarkson in Nashville then Ludacris in Atlanta ... Jason sure does know how to surprise me! ;)

Check it out!

{Turn it up and let the speakers scream for Mr. Aldean, but I call him Jason!}

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

XOXO

Georgia & Packing Tips

Hello lovelies!  I am off to Georgia tomorrow to SEE my man, Jason Aldean, and one of my blogging besties, Sarah!

Do y'all know Sarah?  If not, you should!  She's a sweetheart and such great friend!  Our friendship has grown over the past year (thank you, social media networks!) and I'm really looking forward to meeting her this weekend!  We have so much planned for our blate on Saturday!  I really can't wait!  And of course,  I can't wait to tell you all about it! :)

I am beyond EXCITED for this trip!  I'm so ready to be on the plane heading there, but I need to pack first! Oops!  I'm such a last minute packer and I think like most of us ... I am an overpacker!  On average, I pack at least three outfits per day!  Totally normal! Right?!

Of course, I turned to pinterest for a cute little "to-pack" list.  {I'm all about making lists! ;)}
Here's my favorite . . .

This one came in a close second . . .

Anyone have any tips for organized travel?  Feel free to share! :)
I'm off to get packin'!

Tomorrow,  I will turn into a Georgia peach!  Wahoo ;)
Hope you're ready for me, Sarah!  See you soon! :)

Happy Thursday, lovelies! xo

Escala!

Hello lovelies!  I'm back for a second post of the day .. can you believe it?!   If you read Fifty Shades of Grey, then you know what this post is in reference to!  If you haven't read, you should definitely read it.  I first read the trilogy in just three days over two months ago and have read it twice since!   I'm totally #greysessed and well if you follow me on twitter or instagram, you should know that already!  I even had the opportunity to meet the author, E L James {such an amazing experience-- more on that soon!}!

This post is about ESCALA  -- the Seattle home of the fictional character, Christian Grey.   Fans can reportedly buy the high-rise Seattle penthouse for roughly $4-6 million!

"The swanky Escala building in the Belltown neighborhood is the perfect home for an excessive character like Grey, with its A-list amenities including a private spa, a gym with yoga studio, private dining room, full catering kitchen and dining area with room for 140, theater room, and a dog run -- reading more like a five star hotel than a condo!"

Take a peek inside . . .

I'd definitely live there with Christian Grey! ;)

Possibly the future set of the movie?  What did you think of the penthouse?

Happy Wednesday! xo

Bookshelf Organization

Hello lovelies!   In my bedroom, I have two bookshelves that I'm always reorganizing.  I kind-of, maybe, sort of have OCD when it comes to organization.  I guess I feel like I need to be organized because I have so much stuff!  I have lots of photo albums, frames, and knick-knacks from all my travels and such.

Here are a few pictures of my bedroom that I shared last year on le blog. As you can tell, I do have lots of stuff!  My room sure has changed since then!  As organized as it appears, I have gotten rid of a lot of / packed up a lot of stuff.  I will definitely be adding new photos after I reorganize my bookshelves!

As always, I'm looking to pinterest for some inspiration!

Hey y'all!

Hello lovelies!  How is everyone?! Wow .. can you believe my last post was over a month ago?!  I never really announced my blog hiatus here (I mentioned it in a tweet or two -- if you follow me) so I'm sorry to all my readers who have stuck around!  I appreciate it very much and thank you! :)

Going on a Summer Adventure

Go on an a Summer Adventure with Beach Picnic Accessories Since summer is on its way it's time to start thinking about activities that you can do and accessories to stock up on! If you've recently picked out a beach picnic chair for the ultimate relaxation at the beach or elsewhere, it’s time to pick out the accessories to pack (and pack in) for your trip!

The most essential item to pack for a day in the hot sun is an insulated beverage cooler filled with water bottles to keep you hydrated. Coolers come in every shape in size so choose one based on the number of people in your picnicking group and also base it on portability. If there are only one or two of you an insulated bottle jacket, bottle tote, or small cooler tote may suffice. If your group is larger, you may want to consider a backpack cooler or cooler on wheels like a picnic cooler on wheels for 4. Keep in mind, however, that sand and wheels are not always the best combination. However, have fun with picnic cooler that has plenty of room to house your snacks for the day and enjoy your time outdoors!

Picnic backpacks are a great way to avoid sand. Some backpacks are even divided into 2 sections! The top mesh section (with drawstring closure) is designed to hold clothing, towels, or other gear that needs to "breathe". The bottom section may feature a ThermoGuard insulation to keep food warm or cool for hours and a heat-sealed, water-resistant lining to guard against leaks. It's also nice finding a backpack that also has one large zipper pocket which will keep your personal items close at hand.

Another important accessory for a picnic at the beach is a mat to keep sand out of your food. Find a mat that is waterproof and padded to keep everyone dry and comfortable, even on rough ground and hard surfaces. A mat that is hypo-allergenic is even better. Plus, you'll also want a mat that's lightweight and is made out of durable material, which is ideal for all types of outdoor activities.

Even if you don't live near the beach hopefully you'll still be able to head out and enjoy a picnic wherever you  may be. There are many places to explore and with the right accessories - travel and fun will be knocking at your door!
